Bookings & Payments

We have a booking page where you can check availability and select your desired cottage before being directed to our secure payment page which accepts most major credit and debit cards. A deposit in the region of £125-£200 per cottage, per week, is taken to secure all bookings. The remainder of the balance is invoiced around eight weeks before your arrival. Full payment is taken if you’re booking less than eight weeks before arrival. Discounts are automatically applied if you are booking more than one week. To discuss other payment methods, such as bank transfers, please get in touch.

The GlengoyneGlenmorangie and Auchentoshan cottage bookings commence on a Friday and the Macallan and Glenlivet cottage bookings start on a Monday. We do try and be flexible with our bookings, so please email holiday@gavinburncottages.com or phone 07967 973 889 with any special date requests. Guests are free to arrive or depart on any day within the week that they book.

Not really but…..whilst we charge a weekly rate, we are very competitively priced so we still offer great value even if you can only stay a few nights within the week that you book. Securing the whole week also gives you the flexible option of arriving earlier or staying longer than you originally planned if your circumstances change. Guests are always free to arrive or depart on any day within the dates that they book. So have a look at our prices and see how we compare. However, If you are looking to make a short stay, late booking (ie around 2 weeks before arrival) during an “off peak” season and the cottage is showing as available on our booking calendar then please contact us directly and we may consider a special short break price.

Yes we do. We often welcome guests who are working in the area or are having work done to their own house and require accommodation for a number of weeks. To discuss further please call 07967 973 889 or email holiday@gavinburncottages.com Discounts are also automatically applied on our booking page if you book more than one week.

Very simple….Go to our booking page and on the calendar find your preferred cottage and month, using the drop down boxes and arrows. (Dates shaded grey mean that cottage is booked but please try another cottage) Click on the gold discs which represent available start dates and then, in the pop up window, pick length of stay and input your number of guests. This will generate your price and then you can click on “Book Now” to go to a booking summary page and from there you can click “Place booking” to be taken to our secure payment page.

General

We leave the keys in a key safe at each cottage so guests can arrive at their leisure and at anytime, without having to rush to meet anyone to collect keys. You will receive instructions via email around two weeks before arrival, with location notes and key safe codes. We also have a map and directions option on our location page to help find us.

Yes, each cottage has free access to the internet via a WiFi hub and each cottage has a “smart” TV. It should be pointed out though, that due to our rural, hillside location our connection can occasionally drop during very bad weather. The mobile phone signal is very good on all networks and 4G is available. You might want to leave your mobile off though… and enjoy the tranquillity. We also offer free charging for electric vehicles via two, Zappi 7.5Kw chargers.

Don’t worry. We do try and be as flexible as we can, so please do not hesitate to email holiday@gavinburncottages.com or phone 07967 973 889 or 01389 841815 to discuss any special booking requests or raise any issues that you may have.
