There are plans afoot to build two new, contemporary cottages at Gavinburn. The old outbuilding to the east of the main cottages has traditionally been used as winter shelter for sheep and cattle – but now with a bit of careful planning and hard work, we plan on creating two new luxury self-catering cottages with a modern twist to complement our existing range of traditional cottages.

We are eagerly awaiting all relevant consents to come in from West Dunbartonshire Council before we commence the project. We are indebted to the council and Visit Scotland for all their help in getting this exciting project off the ground.

Builders and architects are preparing final plans for the two, two bedroom cottages which will boast underfloor heating, cathedral ceilings, log stoves and patios to take advantage of the famous views. We are also working closely with our interior designer, Katy Rodgers of Fintry to ensure that the final decor rivals the views. A new children’s play area is also planned.

Please keep in touch on twitter or facebook to find out about our progress or you can pop back and visit our news page at anytime, as we will be posting photos of our weekly progress when building commences in August. Please also feel free to post any comments and ideas you may have.
